Beautiful Woody Point

Woody Point is a town located in the heart of Gros Morne National Park, on the western coast of Newfoundland. Situated on Bonne Bay, the Town of Woody Point encompasses three areas: Curzon Village, Woody Point and Winterhouse Brook. It has a total population of 244 residents. Woody Point is a Registered Heritage District and has a waterfront with many heritage buildings and four Registered Newfoundland and Labrador Heritage Structures.

The drive to Woody Point takes you on a journey through the spectacular landscape of Gros Morne National Park, boreal forest, ponds and coastal villages.

From Points West

From the Port aux Basques ferry, take the Trans Canada Highway (TCH Route 1 East) to Deer Lake. Exit onto Route 430 and then onto Route 431 at Wiltondale. From there, you’ll take about a 20 minute drive along a meandering road to the town of Woody Point. We are located on Water Street.

From Points East

From Deer Lake Regional Airport or points further east such as St. John’s, take the Trans Canada Highway (TCH Route 1 West) to Deer Lake. Exit onto Route 430 and then onto Route 431 at Wiltondale. A 20 minute drive with some truly spectacular views will bring the town of Woody Point. We are located on Water Street.
